SnowRunner will keep on trucking this month with the release of Season 4: New Frontiers, a comprehensive expansion that adds an entirely new Russian region spanning four maps. Your primary objective in these locations: to construct a space rocket. Glorious! You’ll be able to download the new districts and missions as part of the Season Pass starting next week, from 18th May.
The add-on also includes two new vehicles – “the mighty ZiKZ 605-R and the rugged Khan 317 Sentinel scout” – as well as a bunch of vehicle skins and hood ornaments. And don’t worry if you’ve not got the Season Pass: there’ll be free content for everyone to enjoy, including new Trials to tackle and cosmetics to collect.

I wish this game kept adding trophies with the new expansions.
What about 60 FPS on PS5? :/
Is so pathetic people still playing for trophys?! Before ps3 and ps4 you play for what? Jesus! i pay for a game not trophys! Im a real player! Wish have no trophys on games. You people not playing anymore? Pfff
@Vladspartan as odd as it seems this is 99% of the time the only thing that pulls me back into a game, and Snowrunner was my GOTY.
If I'm correct, due to selling over 2 million copies, Focus decided to add more content to this game.
Originally it wasn't planned.
I got this game a while back and enjoyed it for a while, but I'm not sure I'm playing it right. Spend most of my time trying to winch myself out of the mud and not much else and have since lost interest.
@ankehuber
Game of the Year? I don't mean this sarcastically, I really want to know...what kind of game is it? Is there more to it than driving loaded trucks through snow? What am I missing here?
@Vladspartan I don't wanna start an argument here, but what in the hell does a "real player" even mean?
Different people enjoy different aspects of different video games. That's just plain and simple, nothing pathetic about anyone wanting to play for trophies. As long as they're enjoying the game, it doesn't matter why they play it.
@ankehuber @LordSteev given the corona times, this was absolutely in the top of my GOTY 2020 list 😀
The game has a story, recovering areas affected by natural disasters. You accomplish this by completing delivery missions and to accomplish later ones you need better trucks, options for those trucks and equipment. In my mind, this is Death Stranding but with trucks and no BTs 🤣
I get what @Vladspartan is saying. Just enjoy the games for what they are, forget trophies, I am of the same opinion, in my old gamer brain but I also get trophy hunting, I am doing that as well. Vlad, it will help if you think of trophies as top score lists on the old arcades. We played to enjoy the games but we also played for the high scores. Trophies are the new "look I did it!" top score tables. @Sam-Bridges I think Vlad was just using a wrong shorthand for all the words above 😇
@TheDudeElDuderino maybe so, and I agree with all you say. I personally don't get into games 'cuz of trophies. The only platinum trophies I've got are all on PS4 games and it's not a lot. Mainly 'cuz I only "trophy hunt" in games that I really really liked.
But still, calling people pathetic for wanting trophies just doesn't look good.
@TheDudeElDuderino
Thanks, dude.
@LordSteev no problem, man. Just to clarify a bit, there are no visualised story elements, like movies and characters and stuff. It's a story that is told through mission tasks. Gameplay takes center stage as it is about overcoming obstacles to achieve goals. It's a slow game and requires patience.
@TheDudeElDuderino
It's had me curious, 'cause on the outside, it just looked like a trucking sim, yet in this post and a few threads before it, it seemed like some people were really into it. I might give it a shot in the future, but in 3 days, the Mass Effect trilogy arrives, and that's going to be where it's at for me for the next month or so. It's been so long since I played the originals, I hope the remaster lives up to memory!
@LordSteev it's basically delivering, collecting, and rescuing trucks with trucks.
It's an amazing driving/puzzle adventure that I got completely engrossed in and became part of the world. Honestly, it is just something really different and just like Returnal there is utter joy when you finally overcome a tough obstacle.
@LordSteev you said it man! same here! I just started the ME LE download. Can't wait to play them - I have also played them on release and then never again. Yup, once ME lands, I will play nothing else.
@ankehuber
I think the most important thing in any game, no matter the genre, is it's ability to suck you in and make you lose track of the real world. It sounds like this one has done that for you. I think I'll give it a shot, it sounds interesting!
Lighthearted Joking Mode: ON
Though, not sure if I can trust your judgement, as a person who plays games they don't like twice!

@TheDudeElDuderino
Good taste! I think I've played each of them 2 or 3 times back when they came out, but I've never played any of the dlc, and I'm led to believe that some of it is outstanding. I can't wait to string the whole series together back to back to back! I hope they've found a way to streamline planetary mineral scanning, as I thought that (In ME 2 in particular) was the only dark spot on what was otherwise shining gaming nirvana.
@LordSteev I hope you enjoy it as much as I did
@LordSteev dude, you're in for a ride! When I played them, I had all the DLCs and especially those in ME2 are awesome! It will be a totally new game for you, man. You're gonna have a great time.
@ankehuber
Thanks! I hope so too!
@TheDudeElDuderino
As if I wasn't excited enough, you are NOT helping the time fly by any faster! I've been looking forward to this ever since it was first announced. How are you downloading it? Did you preorder? Come to think of it, if a preorder lets you download it now, I might go and do that. Is it downloadable, but unplayable until a certain time?
@LordSteev yes, I preordered. When you go to your library it will let you download it now so that when release time comes you could start it then and there.
@TheDudeElDuderino
Thanks again for responding! I think I'll make the tough choice of what to delete tonight and go ahead and preorder. This feels like possibly the safest preorder out there, and who knows how hard Sony's servers will get hit on release day. Hope you enjoy it as much as I know I'm going to!
This game used to make my PS4 pros fans sound like a leaf blower and overheat, even when fully cleaned and vertical. RDR2 also ran it really loud. Both games are incredibly quiet on PS5 and the main reason I bought one.
